Taiwan 8D7N 2013 (Part IV)

Taiwan Day Seven.
[Sun Moon Lake > Cingjing - Evergreen Grasslands / Small Swiss Gardens / Carton King]

Woke up at 5.30am in hope to catch sunrise but the sun was nowhere in sight (1st photo). Plus the entire lake was so misty mehz. After waiting for 15 minutes, i finally caught a glimpse of the sun peeking behind the mountains heh ^-^ (2nd photo).

Headed to Puli and changed bus to Cingjing. & It slipped our mind that we actually bought tickets for Evergreen Grasslands and Small Swiss Gardens together with the bus tickets, we went on to buy entrance tickets subsequently *stabs self* (so yes, quite alot of money was wasted here)

Feeding the meh mehz. And hello to my really fair sister who photobombed in the first picture. Probably the only photo that she is in (not willingly of course).

Bumping around while waiting for the horse show.

Pretty windmills we saw on the way to Small Swiss Gardens.

& after walking quite a fair bit, we finally reached Small Swiss Garden. Love how pretty the place is *.* I think i can just live there forever. & i forgot to charge my camera mehz. Was so sian having to walk around not knowing when my camera will die so i gave up walking and taking photos halfway through.

Carton King for dinner.
Everything in the entire restaurant are made of cartons, pretty awesome right hehe.

Pretty scenery on the way to our minsu.

Our cosy and pretty (but ulu) minsu. We'd to contact the owner to drive us to the minsu and i swear the journey was freaking scary. The roads were so narrow and we were driving down from the peak of the mountains i'm glad i'm still alive.

Taiwan Day Eight.
[Cingjing > Taichung > Taipei Main Station > Taoyuan Int'l Airport > Singapore]

Had breakfast in our room, went back to taichung, took the tsr back to taipei main station, had lunch at foodcourt, rot at starbucks, went on a hunt for Li Yi taiyangbing (super good omg i need a box now), took the bus to Taoyuan airport and then back to the familiar +65, had macs for supper and home sweet home.

So, these four posts pretty much concluded my Taiwan '13 family trip. Spent a whole lot on souvenirs, didn't manage to eat as much as planned, bought only 3 pieces of clothings, fell in love with grilled squid, had alot of family time, drowned in the tranquility of Tamsui, CJ & SML. Super thankful for my parents' patience to wait for me and my sister to take photos before every meal and also for tolerating all my PMS-y attitudes throughout the trip. This trip holds great significance for me b'cause our family didn't really had any trip together. The last i could remember was going on a cruise when i was 13 but that was with my aunts, uncles and cousins as well. So, i really appreciate trips like this, just the four of us spending quality time with each other. & our next family trip awaits, till the next x
