Taiwan 8D7N 2013 (Part II)

Taiwan Day Three.
[Melange Cafe | Longshan Temple | Yongkang Beef Noodles | Bunny Listens to the Music | Shida Night Market]

Breakfast at the highly raved Melange Cafe. Stole some of my sister's waffles and it's super nomz. Pretty decent sandwiches and coffee (my parents love their coffee) too!!

Yongkang Street.
Famous Yongkang Beef Noodles for lunch. Dopest ever om nom nomz.

After walking around trying to digest our beef noodles, we settled at Bunny Listens to the Music for tea. Initial plan was to try the desserts at Pasisserie Le Douceur but they're on full-house for more than an hour mehz. Anyway, there's so many other cafes/restaurants at Yongkang that i've yet to try :( Can't wait to go back to try them all.

Walked over to Shida Night Market which is in the vicinity.

& so.... i got lazy taking photos of my food but here's my Ah Zhong Mian Xian back at Ximending. I know how some people say it's too overrated but i really really like it. Could use a bowl right now *.*

Taiwan Day Four.
[Jumane Cafe | Tamsui Old Street | Fisherman's Wharf | Lovers' Bridge | Shilin Night Market]

Went back to Zhongshan for Jumane Cafe (which is just beside Melange Cafe) for breakfast. Too many pretty cafes at Zhongshan!

Tamsui Old Street.
(Spent a bomb buying all my souvenirs here)

Jelly popsicles, funky coconut drinks, mushroom & cheese potato, Turkish ice-cream, (my favorite) grilled squid and $1 red tea for lunch. Mad love the grilled squid i can have it everyday!

Took the ferry to Fisherman's Wharf & Lovers' Bridge.
Love how therapeutic the place is.

Headed to the other side of the bridge for the pretty love locks.

This photo could have been a perfect family portrait if my sister is willing to get photographed. And since i'm on it, my sister refused to take photos on all occasions (ie. CNY / wedding dinner and on this family trip) which kinda explains her absence in all the photos.

Camped for the sunset together w all the other zai photog but there were too many clouds :(
Pretty disappointing 'cause we could barely catch a glimpse of the sun setting.

Headed over to Shilin Night Market to get some foodddddd.

***

& so, it took me several nights to sieve and filter through these photos. Am already missing Taiwan sobz, would love to go back again next year. That aside, can't wait for another short getaway to Tioman for scuba diving next weekend. (Anw if anybody has any lobangs for *reliable* waterproof case to bring under the water for my phone, please lmk asap ty in advance!) My wanderlust dreams are indeed getting wilder with each escape.

Into the second week of school and i'm really not yet ready to juggle classes, assignments and tests alongside with my crazy tuition schedules and work. I know i've been excessively complaining and whining about not having enough rest but if these extra hours and efforts i've put in is enough to exchange for my students' good performances for their PSLE and EOY, i know these tough times are definitely worth it. So here's to another few tiring and lifeless weeks ahead, hope everyone is having the days better than i am. Till the next x
