Friendship Shoot / MBS Staycation

Crazy crazy weather the other day! Opted for an early noon shoot because we predicted that it'll start raining in the late noon / evening judging from the recent weather patterns BUT guess what? It didn't even rain the entire day. I swear all of us died under the blazing sun omg :<

We didn't have the chance to take our time to snap photos of our picnic-themed shoot so just a couple from my dslr / iphone. Rainbow cake from Violet (@xoxoviolet / #violetbakes on ig). It's my 4th time ordering from Violet b'coz her cakes / cupcakes taste as good as they look at really affordable price. Got a cake and balloons (which flew away upon arrival b'coz i didn't take good care of them sorry guys) for Sheryl's birthday as well. So it was kind of a birthday cum friendship shoot ^^

& then off we go to MBS for staycation! Ordered room service for dinner and it sure feels great dining in the hotel room overlooking Gardens by the bay. Speaking of which, there's Tulipmania exhibition right now and i really want to go but ........ E X A M S. Sigh.

If only i get to wake up to this every morning, i'd definitely be more of a morning person. Super gorgeous view from the MBS Infinity Rooftop Pool. Didn't get to visit the pool due to the haze last year so i'm super happy to be able to spend the morning in the pool this time round.

Of course, my life isn't complete without any drama. Was soaking in the jacuzzi (for less than 5 minutes) with my bathrobe / phone / dslr approximately 2m in sight and my poor phone (& bathrobe) went missing. Turns out that this lady mistook my bathrobe for hers and yup my phone was inside the robe. Thankfully, after a million and one calls, i managed to get back my phone (super lucky me)! Can't imagine losing another phone....My ip4 got stolen in bkk two years ago and not long ago my ip5 drowned in the toilet bowl. I really need to learn to be more careful.

Just when i thought having breakfast BY the pool is the best thing in life, i realized that i could have breakfast IN the pool *.* Could use a couple more days here, forgetting the world and being a tourist in my own country.

Luv being a tourist in my own country (i'm secretly a damn patriotic person i really love singapore tbh despite of all the little things we complained about daily). Can't wait for more staycations!

I really need to get my shit together and focus on preparing for the upcoming exams instead of spending time worrying about what's going to come after which. Been losing sleep and not being able to focus on my revision b'coz of my endless worry of securing a job. Went for two interviews at a local bank recently. Didn't make it for the first and i doubt i'd make it for the second one (even with my cousin's referral). I really want the second job position in that particular bank so much b'coz i feel it's something that i've been wanting / keen to do all along just that i'd prior misconception of the department. Anyway, i really appreciate all the replies / comments on a previous post with regards to this issue. I don't expect people to even bother reading through so really a big thank you for all those who shared your experiences and even left such encouraging comments and of course, for taking time to do so. I'm really trying to take things in stride and be more positive about failures but there are days where i lost all sorts of positivity in life. I don't know why i'm so much of a worry-frut to be constantly worrying about the future. I know i should keep my sight to build on the present but my mind simply doesn't leave me alone. Alrighty, end of rant. I should do a bit more revision before rotting in front of the tv for Star Awards.

1. Batam Montigo with Sheryl & Wenhui.

2. Taipei-SML-Cingjing with the family. First official family trip.

3. Yearly affair to Bangkok. This time with Wanying, Shawn and Jianrong.

& so this year, i didn't manage to strike my "Complete half marathon" resolution off my list. Couldn't find anybody to do the Great Eastern 21.1km with me. And I probably did lesser runs in 2013 than in 2012.

1. 12km Safari Zoo Run. First ever run that i forsaked (due to wh's injury).
2. U run omb challenge. 15km run and 30 storey. First attempt at climbing so many flight of stairs.
3. Nike Sheruns5k. Yearly affair with the girls but this year with zl replacing gj.
4. Color run. First run that i walked throughout.
5. (Yearly affair) Nike Werun10k.

Had soooo many picnics earlier this year that i was labelled the 'picnic queen'.
Haven't had time to arrange a picnic recently, i miss those days :(

Am the youngest among the three but somehow, i always look the oldest among them mehz (i shall believe that it's because i'm the tallest). Like i've said, you guys are probably my best takeaway from db.

I could still vividly remember myself labeling you as the girl "who is anti-social and keep using her phone during group discussion during sociology" in Year 1. Such a coincidence that we'd a flea booth beside each other yet i was damn reluctant to talk to you initially. But i'm glad we exchanged numbers and so here we are today, thank you for being my best uni mate!! Can't wait to see you for our Hongkong trip, ai ni heng duo lubz.

The one who listens to my ridiculously long rants every other day and always giving me really honest advices. Like i've mentioned previously, we've pretty different living habits/styles but somehow, our friendship managed to blossom amongst the differences. I appreciate how comfortable i can be around beckz. & Thank you for all the little things you've done - cooking korean food for me, sharing your CF (and kpop) knowledge with me, doing card for me, visiting me at work, bearing all my nonsenses and also for constantly replying my texts. Thank you for always checking on me! Here's to many many many more years of friendship ahead of us. Don't you dare forget me ok hehe, and here's to also (hoping) to materialize our korea trip (probably with Syl) in the near future. Lubz ya!!!! <3

We probably meet each other only 3-4 times a year but each time we do, we could go on and on about everything under the sun. I really cherish our friendship alot and am so glad that we grew closer after JC. Have fun in France for your exchange woman, i'll see you half a year later and be sure to materialize our fan-girl korea trip in the near future kayz!

Unexpected friendship which i really cherish alot. It's such a coincidence how we have the exact same lectures among our three similar modules in Year Two. Thank you for choosing to sit beside me during lecture last year and i'm glad we'd so much in common. Many more cafe dates to come! Meanwhile, study hard bb. Prior to meeting these girls, I don't actually believe in friendships forged on social platform but these girls changed my thoughts. It's amazing how we can click and talk like we knew each other for a long time on our very first meeting. Can't believe we had so much in common and how we can just be so open about everything. Couldn't find a picture with all of us which shows how long we didn't have full attendance for our outings! :( Can't believe i got dragged (by Grace) to join English Drama in JC because i couldn't find anybody to join Netball/Touch Rug/Hockey with me and i didn't want to be all alone in the so-called "bitchy CCAs". Am so so so glad to have found all these girls and contrary to our CCA, we are not even the least bit dramatic. Can't believe we've known each other since 2009. thank you girls. You know i love all of you x

I can't remember if we first know each other from tuition or from social media. Either way, i'm glad we made it this far. It's been a great 5 years of friendship! Though we might not meet often nor do we contact each other often, i feel really at ease each time we meetup. I love how we can always go on and on and on about so many things. Thank you for your presence bb, can't wait for our BKT and movie date in 2014. Know that you do make a difference in my life, ai ni!!!

And to everybody who is (has been) reading this space, or has been following me on social medias esp instagram, thank you all for always being so generous and kind with your likes and comments. I truly appreciate everything :)

So moving on to the new year, i hope to...

1) Graduate successfully with a second-upper.
2) Get a stable full-time job with nice colleagues, decent pay and a manageable job scope.
3) Travel to more countries / cities
4) Take up baking / cooking / third-language (korean hehe)
5) Find time to do volunteer work after graduation (been procrastinating about this for years)
6) Be a better person - For myself, my family and my friends.

Every closure is the beginning of something new. Please let 2014 be good, x
